Today many of us celebrate a feast day of the Epiphany of Our Lord.
It is a celebration of Jesus being made known to the world.
On this day of Christmas, we recall the Magi, also known as the Wise Men from far, who were sent by King Herod to find the Newborn King of the Jews, where they followed the star that led them directly to Jesus.
We remember all people are called to by Jesus. The Magi were not Jewish themselves but were welcomed.
In their hearts they knew He was the King of all Kings , and laid prostrate in front of Him giving honoring Him and left Him with the finest gifts they had to offer.
The Epiphany is also about Christ’s Light shining in the darkness. He is our True Beacon of Hope, and reminded how through the ages, God calls people from all walks of life in every corner of the universe.
This day we remember we are to listen for Him.
We are to seek Him, and we will be find the same.
Just as the Magi followed the Light of the star and found Peace, Love and Joy, so can we.
