I was pondering how peaceful the little stable our Lord was born in may have been just before He made his entrance into the world.
With Mary being spared the pains of child birth and no one but her devoted husband Joseph and the barn animals asleep around her, I imagine, Jesus quietly slipped from Heaven into earth.
I wonder if the celestial choir of Angels surrounding the little stable singing our Lord’s praises could be heard by Mary and Joseph.
Did they, both, hear the Angels as clearly as the shepherds in the fields heard Angel Gabriel, tell them to go see the newborn King?
Oh what a glorious moment in time that must have been.
The fact, we have been given the Good News of our Lord’s historical presence here on earth is such a gift in and of itself. I find this news so awe- inspiring, and give thanks to my great grandparents, grandparents, parents and pastors in my life, who taught me how to make the most of each Advent and Christmas Season and draw nearer to Jesus, the Lord and Savior of the world.
