Last night, after I had puttered around throughout the day, straightening up of my home from the last two days of celebration our Lord, I sat down, closed my eye and began remembering how the last 48 hrs unfolded.
I thought about how each moment was truly organic. One family arrived, and they would nestle into their comfortable places, while other family members would prepare and position their dishes for our buffet, and more would arrive and do the same. Once all were present one or two would need a moment to go take a breath, tired after preparing their dishes all morning.
Quietly a few of us would pray for their anxiety to be lifted and Our Heavenly Father answered our prayers quickly as I recalled the stress that surrounded them was gone in a few minutes, allowing them to come back calmer and able to accept our close bond, when we come together.
Though two of my own were not able to be home for Christmas, we, all made a point to connect with them for a few precious moments and together, we sang our traditional Silent Night Hymn, as the littlest one of the family would place Baby Jesus in his creche. Its a tradition my parents began with my siblings and me, and we have continued to share with our family tree.
I continued to let my Christmas memories flow after our long distance call, as we all came together to sharing our special secret Santa gift we brought for another with Peace and Joy in in every one of our hearts.
I took time to watch each person’s face to take in their reactions of surprise, smiles and laughter. I noticed everyone so relaxed and happy to share gifts and funny surprises. The memories filled my head and warmed my heart to be a witness to such peace with such a creative generosity from each and every one.
The world’s 🌎 consensus tries very hard to catapult us forward with such force. Pulling was away from the seasons that celebrate our dear Savior’s Life-Giving Birth.
Away from the awe inspiring moment, God the Father in His Truth, Wisdom and Mercy sent us His One Son.
So in my move to be a spark in my tiny space in this world, I pray thru music that inspires my heart, that those alone or indeed, will hear and receive the Lord’s Healing touch by hearing this prayerful song.
