So apparently I have no room to share videos directly, so I am having to send you a link to my YouTube channel, found below.
Six (6) weeks ago, I finally got around to cutting to tending to my Elderberry plant that produced flowers and berries twice this past year. It was 18 feet high, and I cut it to the ground and transplanted over 42 canes on, Sunday, April 6, 2025, and was able to share about 20 canes with family, friends, and even some with my chiropractor and her assistant, all of whom were interested in adding elderberry to their gardens. I had only 8 to 10 canes that just did not make it though they did bud leaves, they dried up from the tip of the tiny leaves to the cane. It was odd as I stuck three (3) to five (5) canes in each barrel, with the same soil and water, but randomly they did not take off, which is still amazing. The others that I gave away all are doing well, just waiting for a new friend in Georgia to let me know how hers are going. The USPS took a whopping four and a half weeks to deliver a priority postage package. We will see, and try again next year, if they didn’t make it.

For the past few years, I have been gleaning a lot of information on how to tend, prune, and propagate elderberry plants from two long-time homesteaders & YouTubebloggers;
Heidi from RainCountry
Stacy from OffgridwithDougandStacy
With a plethora of hands on information, and alot of determination, I followed their advice, and in only two short (2) weeks later, cool day/night temperatures, and wonderful rainy March our sil was primed and ready.
On a Sunday afternoon, on April 25, 2025, I could not get over the growth in just two (2) weeks and shared a video.

I came home from church last night and was taken back by the growth of my main elderberry bush towering above not only my fence line but above my house again.
It was such a magnificent sight to see the dainty white clusters waving in the wind like white pom poms moving to and fro as to say;
“Hey! Hey!
Lookie Dear!
We are growin’
Faster right here!”
Lol!
Simple as the scene is to many, at that very moment, it was the most magnificent sight that truly took my breath away.
Oh what a God we serve!
He is alive and is working and living in all who are open to letting Him flow through us.
Happy Memorial Day Weekend, and prayers for all who gave of themselves to protect our shores. God Bless America πΊπΈ and Please Lord help us Heal Our World π.
Blessings and Prayers to my Beloved on our Anniversary. Not a day goes by that I am not grateful for your love and the love we shared before you returned to Our Creator. You were one in a million, and I see how very special you were every day through the eyes of our children and grandchildren. Thank you for being open to having a family with me. We love you so very much. 1111 & 1212 π
