Happy belated Mother’s Day to you all.
My Mother’s Day was calm, intimate, and quiet.
My eldest son took a very long-awaited camping trip to see his in-laws in Texas, but not before bringing a beautiful bouquet of flowers over before they left.
My eldest son always loves giving me flowers even when he was young and would tell me to close the door so he could pick a dandelion, ring the doorbell and watch the look of surprise on my face as I gasped at the beauty of the tiny yellow burst of color as he presented yet another golden bloom to me.
My son-in-law took my oldest daughter and their kids for a wonderful spontaneous day trip to the Pacific Ocean, and my youngest and his pregnant wife are in Tennessee, but the blessing of having multiple children is there is still another to be with their dear ole’ Mom on Mother’s Day. LOL!
My middle son and his soon-to-be fiancé asked if they could share a meal with me on the maternal day devoted to remembering we even have a mother. LOL!
I was hankering for a local pizza, which is something I haven’t cared to do since it’s only me, and getting pizza for one is just sad. 😁 So I suggested the place to pick up a piping hot pizza, which they were thrilled at the ease of not having to find a place to go.
They came over bearing a beautiful bouquet of flowers and a gorgeous lavender-colored hydrangea to plant in my yard, as well as the steaming hot pepperoni and jalapeño pizza.
We had a lovely time as they shared the prospects of finding their first house and all the information about how they found their soon-to-be home.
I had such a nice time getting reacquainted with them as they had been so busy with all the details of their search. It was nice to just focus on them.
Being a Mom is the most rewarding endeavor I have ever experienced in my life. One I always dreamed of doing, and one that I never regret being allowed to do. Every single bit I am so grateful to have and continue to experience. The good times and stressful times, the happy and sad moments, the trials and tribulations that came and went but most of all being able to reconcile and move forward and in the midst of adversity, and console one another as needed.
The most miraculous gift is being able to witness how we can come together for the Lord’s greater good. Thank you Jesus for us all.

One of my sister-in-laws, sent this to all the moms in our family group text, and I felt like sharing as it is so beautifully stated. I do not know where it came from
