Today, I went to a Mass to celebrate the beautiful life of a music director peer and friend of mine.
It was an uplifting moment to stand alongside of so many former choir members and musicians who came to pay their respects, filling the Church where we minister/ed.
Collectively, we, both, have ministered music at our Church for over 58+ years, and it was so amazing to be sitting alongside of so many talented and faith-filled ministers.
Just as my friend hoped for, all in attendance sang in one accord.
What a blessing to have been able to inspire so many lives throughout the years by leading them to sing the Lord’s Praises.
Below is the guitar she used to inspire 60 vocalists and musicians to step forward and minister music here at our parish 🎶
It is a testament to her dedication to encourage the masses to sing the Lord’s praise right where they stood. Be it in the music section, in the pews or outside or in the hall watching the live feeds.
She has now joined the Choirs of Angels, and I couldn’t be happier for her.
What a beautiful presence I felt flowing through the Church, as we joined in singing the Lord’s Praises. I have no doubt the Holy Saints and Angels were joining in from beyond the Thin Veil.
May her soul rest in peace
