A dear friend and fellow music minister and our “A Little Joyful Noise (ALJN) Ensemble” Bass Guitar player took his last breath here on earth with his beloved wife, daughters and grandchildren around him this morning.
I was closing my family room blinds by my piano, and looked out the window catching sight of the full moon with a distinct ray shooting down to the earth and another shooting up to the heavens.
My Dad told us three weeks before he passed, “Whenever you see a full moon, know I am looking at the same moon and sending all my love to each of you.”
I couldn’t get over the rays shooting out. Then quickly thought better of it, trying to find a logical reason, thought it might be because I needed to wash the outside of my windows (LOL!)
I grabbed my phone, ran outside and tried to take a picture, but the rays were still present. I wanted to get a good pic, so I could send it to my siblings, and I wiped my camera lens and focused on another porch light. No rays and seemed to be all clean.
I moved to focus back on the moon, and rays could still be seen shooting out of it. I figured perhaps this is what needed to see.
As I was getting ready to send the picture, I heard my Dad say, “No worries. We got Jon. He is with us.”
Even in our sorrow, the Lord in His Mercy allows our loved ones to comfort us from beyond bounds. ✝️
