Gloria In Excelsis Deo

“Gloria in excelsis Deo” is Latin meaning “Glory to God in the highest”. It is a Catholic hymn known also as the Greater Doxology, and is distinguished from the “Minor Doxology” or Gloria Patri and the Angelic Hymn/Hymn of the Angels.

Our “A Little Joyful Noise Ensemble” came from of walks of life to come and lead our parish family in song, this Christmas Eve. Together, we sang the Gloria, and ended Mass with the hymn, “Angels We Have heard on High!” The refrain which is ” Gloria in Excelsis Deo“, filled my heart as I could not only hear our parish family sing with us, but I could hear the Heavenly Choirs of Angels and Saints singing and praising our Lord with Love, Adoration and Thanksgiving. It was like my heart was so full of love it was one with the voices.

With every thought we think, every move we make and every word we utter, I challenge you to make a conscious effort to bring Glory to God to others, until we breathe or last breath and have sung our last note🎶.
