I realize grown up with not only my wonderful loving, hard working, faith-filled Father, but two amazingly faith-based and very spiritual Grandfathers from each side of my family. I was beyond blessed with outstanding male role models.
My Dad’s Dad was retired, when his wife, my Grandmother, struggled with Alzheimers, and he and my Mom took care of her for as long as he physically could, before she needed to be placed in an assisted living home around the corner, where he would visit her daily, and in between taking care of handiwork around our home, so my Dad could focus on running his family business.
I had so much patriarchal love kindness and support growing up.. Our family and those around us were all blessed by their kindness and generosity toward everyone. I have been blessed beyond measure to have been born into a family with such wonderful, loving spirit-filled men.
Though I met and dated young men of lesser integrity and character, I was blessed beyond my wildest dreams with a husband who was a man, who was indeed the fourth pillar, who not only could hold a candle to but held a torch next to my Father and Grandfathers. Together, they are a force to be reckoned with. To this day, we, all, feel their hedge of protection surrounding us.
Moving into this Father’s Day weekend, I stand in sheer and abundant Gratitude for the Gift of the Four Patriarchal Pillars placed in my Life, and the lives of my children and their families.
I ask the Lord this very moment as well as ask my Father and Grandfathers for their continued intercessary prayer and ask together they continue to watch over and to guide my sons, especially those who are fathers to continue to be filled with the same Strength of Character, Integrity and Grace on their father and grandfathers before them.
I pray those who are not yet fathers, with be blessed with a loving supportive, faith-filled, Christ- centered wife to live, love, laugh, and be blessed with children of their own.
Happy Father’s Day Weekend to all Fathers, Prayers for you, your families and thank you, all, who dare to be the best loving, supportive, God- Fearing men and Patriarchs in this hormone confused turmoil of a world. We needs you, all, more than ever.
