From as far back as I can remember, which is around the age of 19 months, I watched over my baby sister, then my baby brothers and baby cousins. I felt it was my job to make sure, all, were well, happy and looked after, mimicking every move my beloved Momma made to care for any and all placed in her path, like a Momma Lion looking after her cubs.
I remember even at 19 months, I loved caring for others. My purpose in life was not a goal, I felt it within my very heart and soul. I yearned to one day be a Wife and and Mom, and my Momma was the best mentor ever. She made it look so easy because she loved her life, and her enthusiasm for each task she tended to was so infectious, and I knew this was my life’s purpose as well.
Anything else, I have been called to do has been icing on the cake.
Looking back every position I have been given has always carried with it watching and guiding parents and children, as they move to being the best parents and responsible adults they can be through Jesus Christ. At different times, I would find myself joining in their fight to seek out, how best they can Know, Love and Serve God by going into the Spiritual Battle of Prayer with them. I see how instrumental God has been in my life. I never sought to find those needing my support or guidance. I was just living my life, and people were placed in my life for me to learn from and seek shelter or for me to watch over and share my gifts with them.
God is truly amazing!
Even in my most darkest moments in my life, He patiently waited, and continued to call me back, when I tried to step away from what He needed me do, which seems thus far to be the calling that would help others know of His existence and support and fight for all womb to grave.
When I said, “Yes, Lord, I trust in Your Plan, the doors to my adult life opened wide, and I was called to be a Wife and a Mother, a confidant, a friend, a supporter, a guardian, and advocate, realizing, in all actuality, I was being asked all along to become a silent warrior. Later, I was called to stand up for my own children, my Dad, then my husband, then my Mom. It was then I evolved into a Warrior for Christ.
