Make My Life a Prayer to You+

When my older children were young, a dear family came into our lives via my oldest son, who was being bullied in kindergarten because he happened to be the tallest in his class.
He has a gentle soul like his Dad, a lover not a fighter.
One day, my son was climbing up a very sturdy metal slide on the playground, and the other kindergartener boys were calling him the Jolly Green Giant and making comments about how he needed to get off this slide because he was going to break it.
All the sudden, his friend, who was half the size of my son, put his hands on his hips, and told the boys to leave his friend alone.
From that day forward they were fast friends, and our families became very close. We both had and have now a good Faith-based and nurtured one another in our Faith throughout the years. Though we are from different Christian backgrounds, it mattered not for we, all, understood we loved the same triune God.
Praise and worshipping the Lord through music was and is very much a part of both our families lives, and in the beginning of our friendship, they introduced us to Keith Green (1992).
Though much of his music is very dated, late 60’s/70’s guitar rock, I found myself last night, mulling over two (2) songs of his that really touched my soul.
Keith Green’s life, as short as it was, touched many people, and his life was not perfect. It was filled with tragedy, yet he shared his love for the Lord in a very profound way.
As I listened, prayed, sang, and worshipped the Lord last night, the lyrics to his song,
“Make My Life a Prayer” began to take on a life of its own.

I meditated on each word, wanting more than anything, to be that Beacon of Hope for anyone sitting in the shadows, believing the evil ones lies that they are alone or forgotten. If my praising and worshipping in the confines of my home can be turned into cry for the lost and lonely, so be it. I pray every move I make, every word I utter, every song I sing,

is lifted up, for God’s Greater Glory.

I give thanks to the Lord allowing such a great waymaker in Keith Green to have shared his love of God with our world, and I humbly singalong with him only to continue the message he shared with so many lovers of Christ.
Remember you are never alone; I am praying for every single person in the world.
Fear not, for there are many prayer warriors praying for every single person in the world.
Dare to talk, pray, and sing the Lord’s praise for He is Our God.

The Father of ALL.
The Light in the Darkness, and Only He can offer Eternal Life.
